Al-Aqsa Storm marked absolute defeat of Israel: IRGC
TEHRAN – The second-in-command of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has hailed Hamas’s October 7 operation against Israel as the usurping entity’s point of defeat.
Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said on Sunday that Hamas’s Operation Al-Aqsa Storm proved Israeli military power to be a sham.
Reflecting on recent events, Fadavi pointed out that the Israeli regime, once thought to be possessing the largest and most powerful army, experienced a rapid decline.
“During these 50 days of conflict, resistance fighters successfully achieved their goals, dismantling the carefully crafted image that Israel had projected,” he added.
Expanding on the global impact of the resistance front, Fadavi emphasized that the idea of resistance goes beyond Palestine and Palestinians’ continued fight against the occupiers. He characterized it as a valuable phenomenon that will continue to inspire people worldwide.
The top IRGC commander discussed the strategic achievements of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, suggesting that the tactical dimensions of the operation would become more evident in the future.
Fadavi highlighted a significant shift that happened after October 7. He stated: “Many believed Israel to be the safest place in the world which led to many people migrating there. However, we are now witnessing a reverse migration, marking the Zionist’s most significant strategic failure.”
The top commander identified another strategic achievement of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm as exposing the true face of the Zionist regime to the world. “Former allies of Israel, including some officials in the United States and the UK, are now faced with no other option but opposing the regime,” the general stated.
Reiterating unwavering support for Palestine, Fadavi further assured that Iran’s commitment would remain steadfast and continuous.
He concluded by emphasizing the “divine duty” to support the oppressed and stand against oppressors. He reiterated, “Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen fulfilled their obligations toward the Palestinians. Yemen, in particular, declared war against the United States and Israel in support of Palestine, successfully downing a U.S. aircraft and launching missile and drone attacks against the Zionist regime.”
Fadavi also mentioned the military achievements of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, stating that from a tactical and operational perspective, significant dimensions were presented in the victories of the Palestinian resistance front. “For instance, the invincibility of the military dominance the Zionists had portrayed collapsed. Hundreds crossed the walls, penetrating occupied Palestinian territories for dozens of kilometers,” he noted.
The second-in-command of the IRGC stated, “For nearly 50 days, Israel has been assaulting Palestinians, and what we witnessed was the killing of children and women, as well as bombing the numerous civilian sites in the besieged Gaza Strip. Yet, the usurping entity was not able to achieve any significant military victories. Therefore, strategically, operationally, and tactically, the Zionists faced absolute defeat”.
